1999年10月，第21屆國(guó)際計(jì)量大會(huì)（CGPM）以米制公約的簽約日——5月20日作為世界計(jì)量日。從2000年5月20日起，世界各國(guó)開始了世界計(jì)量日一系列宣傳活動(dòng)。

為提升計(jì)量服務(wù)人民美好生活的能力水平，廣泛深入開展計(jì)量惠民活動(dòng)，在第 22 個(gè)“世界計(jì)量日”來臨之際，市場(chǎng)監(jiān)管總局決定組織開展2021 年“5·20 世界計(jì)量日”及“計(jì)量守健康惠民生”活動(dòng)。2021 年“5·20 世界計(jì)量日”及“計(jì)量守健康惠民生”活動(dòng)的主題為“測(cè)量守護(hù)健康”。
